Moemedi Tafa (as Partner) co-heads the Armstrongs’ Litigation Department. He additionally oversees the Employment and Labour Law Practice. He is extensively involved in advising and rendering opinions on company formations, drafting and reviewing of commercial and employment agreements and advising on various general business and employment issues. Moemedi regularly advises on (and acts) in matters in the construction and civil engineering fields and undertakes general commercial litigation

Moemedi is regularly involved in several high-end corporate litigation matters and undertakes corporate commercial and labour litigation in the High Court, the Industrial Court and Court of Appeal. He has acted and continues to act, for multinational organisations, parastatals and various entities in the mining, construction, banking, and regulatory environments. Moemedi is well-renowned for his practical and solution-orientated approach to matters. He has been and is currently engaged by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) as Counsel in matters before the SADC Administrative Tribunal.

Moemedi serves as the Country Representative of Botswana in the African Labour Law Society and has been appointed to the Management Committee of same. He has regularly been requested to give presentations and present papers at various seminars on his experience on labour law in Botswana. Moemedi recently authored the chapter on Employment Law in Botswana in the Chambers & Partners publication.

In addition to serving on the Management Committee of the African Labour Law Society, Moemedi served as a Board Member of the national airline, Air Botswana, between 2018 and 2021. In 2022, Moemedi was requested (and appointed) to serve as the Chairman of the airline.
